Essential job functions

• Develop and maintain the backend and front-end (web, iOS, Android apps) of these projects based on the Bitmark Protocol
• Work closely with the team to build prototypes and validate solutions
• Work with communities to define and implement the standards of blockchain infrastructure
• Leverage CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment
• Create internal data analytics and monitoring tools

Profiles that are important to us

• Strong English communication skills
• Strong coding skills and computer science fundamentals
• We don’t discriminate by language, but having coded in Ruby, Python, Go, Java, Swift,... is a plus
• Knowledge of database (PostgreSQL, LevelDB, Redis,...) backed applications as used in REST APIs
• Knowledge of security and cryptography a big plus
• Knowledge of communication methods to interact with frontend applications (WebSockets, RPC,...)
• Knowledge of configuration management (git, Ansible,…) in a development environment
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools (docker, kubernetes,...) in a development environment
• You are creative and analytical, and like to be appreciated for both

Essential job functions

The main product of Bitmark is Autonomy.

Autonomy is a full node wallet, a P2P contact list, and a recovery network. Working together, they give you independence, make Bitcoin easy to use, and ensure that you never lose your money. It’s like having a Bitcoin full node in your pocket!

• Work with Backend Engineers to design and maintain a scalable architecture for running Bitcoin full nodes
• Manage Kubernetes clusters
• Design safe and efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Set the proper alarms for key service metrics
• Optimize system resource usage and cost efficiency

Profiles that are important to us

• Knowledge of OS installation, configuration, and maintenance (we use Ubuntu and FreeBSD)
• Knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, and DigitalOcean)
• Knowledge of container systems (Kubernetes, FreeBSD Jails)
• Knowledge of automated integration tools (TravisCI integration with Github)
• Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code (Helm, Ansible)
• Knowledge of database backup and monitoring (PostgreSQL, LevelDB, Redis, MongoDB, etc.)

The engineering manager will also work with you to determine which project makes you a better fit according to your interests and skills through the interview process.

Feral File
A hybrid between an online gallery, marketplace, and publisher of artist editions. Invigorating the future of exhibiting, curating, and collecting digital media in partnership with the digital art community through Bitmark NFTs.

• Develop and maintain the backend of Feral File
  • Integrate Bitmark SDK to manage Bitmark NFTs
  • Support the display and distribution of different types of digital artworks, e,g software, video, pdf, audio, image, 3D, animated gif, etc.
  • Support international payments in both fiat and cryptocurrencies
• Leverage CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment
• Scale the service to support higher transaction volume
• Create internal data analytics to help with decision making

Autonomy
Autonomy is a full node wallet, a P2P contact list, and a recovery network. Working together, they give you independence, make Bitcoin easy to use, and ensure that you never lose your money. It’s like having a Bitcoin full node in your pocket!

• Develop the Autonomy pod, the Bitcoin full node designed for running in the cloud privately for each user
  • Increase the privacy, safety, and security of Autonomy pod, which will require Torgap, Signal messaging, etc.
  • Design a scalable architecture for running more Autonomy pods
  • Lower the cost of running an Autonomy pod
• Develop the backend of Autonomy app and other Bitcoin-related microservices powered by Bitmark (e.g. fee estimation, price history, explorer, etc.)
• Work with communities to make the solutions Gordian-certified

Bitmark Protocol
Bitmark Protocol is a system for organizing information about the world’s digital resources. People can activate — use, transfer, generate revenue from — resources safely with each other by verifying what a resource is and who controls it through Bitmark Protocol.

• Maintain the Bitmark blockchain and the Bitmark Golang SDK
• Work with communities to advance the Bitmark Protocol. The research topics include but are not limited to:
  • Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs)
  • InterNFT
  • RGB
  • Cosmos

Required
• Strong computer science fundamentals and coding skills (we use Golang)
• Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, LevelDB, Redis)

• Strengthen brand awareness.
  • Identity and attend events to share Bitmark’s work and mission.

  • Work with the Social Marketing and PR Coordinator to share our work milestones (targeted towards engineers) via Bitmark’s media channels.
